The role of community policing is to assist members of a specific community with the full support of the local police force. The police aims to provide a presence and act as a point of contact for people who are experiencing issues with crime and or anti-social behaviour.
However students are strongly encouraged to read our Personal Safety pages for basic information on how you can protect both you and your property.
The local police forces conduct Partnerships and Communities Together (PACT) meetings each month. The meetings are to discuss local issues that the community can resolve together. There has been a lack of students attending so this is your chance to make a difference to your community!
